Make an easy inexpensive craft or gift.
Hang anywhere for a festive fragrant decoration.
Supplies:
Cinnamon Pinecones
18 in- 1 3/4 in ribbon
3 pieces jute twine 23 in long
cellophane bags 5 x 3.5 inch x 11.25 (if giving as gifts)
Tools:
Glue gun
Ruler
Scissors
needle nose pliers
Begin by cutting 3 pieces of jute 23 inches long and then fold each piece in half and tie a simple knot at the center fold.
Prepare pinecones for gluing to jute string by pulling out pinecone pieces blocking the center.
Place a glob of glue in the center.
Add the string by pressing the knot on the glob of glue and hold for 15 seconds and set aside for glue to cool.
Add string to all the pinecones and sort by size.
Choose three pinecones and balance spacing and length of strings.
Tie a knot joining a three pine cones about 1 inch from top of pinecones. Tie another knot near the end of the strings.
Trim ends. Tie a bow in the ribbon and attached to pinecones at the first knot.
If giving as a gift, place in cellophane bag without ribbon attached to pinecones. Use twist tie to attach to outside of bag so it doesn't get smashed inside bag. When gift is opened, bow can be transferred to jute string.
